How to Strengthen Your Liver and The Signs of Liver Damage!

It`s very important to pay attention to liver`s health. Because the liver plays the vital and the main role in your body. The most important things are diet, exercise and adequate sleep, they keep healthy  liver.

When something goes wrong with the liver, the symptoms can be seen in different functions and parts of the body. There are several types of liver problems. The most common are cirrhosis, gallstones, cystic disease, fatty liver disease and hepatitis.

Loss of appetite

One of the earliest signs  is loss of appetite.  People with liver damage may not feel like eating anything.

Bile helps break down fats so that they can be digested. When food is not digested properly, it often leads to loss of appetite and even severe weight loss. Loss of appetite can also make a person weak and tired.

Changes in urine color

If your urine has a darker color, although that you drink a lot of liquid, it may be an indication of a liver problem. Dark-colored urine: orange, amber or brown.

Dark urine can also be caused by dehydration, taking vitamin B supplements, side effects of antibiotics, enzyme deficiencies, a urinary tract infection and kidney problems.

The change in urine color happens when the liver is unable to eliminate bilirubin via excretion through the kidneys.

If you notice that your urine is darker, you should visit your doctor!

Yellow Skin

Yellowing of the skin is noticeable on the skin, eyes, tongue, fingernail and fingertips.

This phenomenon is known as jaundice.  It`s caused by a buildup of Bilirubin (a yellow pigment.) in the blood and body tissue that the liver normally would get rid of along with old red blood cells. When the  Bilirubin accumulates in your bloodstream and then on your skin. So, it takes on a yellowish hue.

Visit your doctor if you notice yellowing of these areas.

Abdominal Area Changes

This is another sign of liver damage. This can quickly lead to the feeling of bloating. Medically, these symptoms relate to the problem known as ascites.

Ascites is a buildup of fluid in the abdominal cavity, which happens due to advanced liver disease or cirrhosis. Ascites can also be caused by non-liver disorders.

  • Avoid alcohol, cigarettes
  • Avoid animal protein and salt
  • Avoid junk food, carbonated drinks, dairy products and refined sugar products.
  • Eat food rich in Vitamin C and foods: lemon, turmeric, beet-root, avocado, broccoli
  • Consume teas, especially green tea
  • Exercise, run, walk, dance, swim
  • Drink a lot of water (2 liters per day)
